A Malay style sambal. Fresh chillis are pounded together with toasted shrimp paste(belacan) in a stone mortar with added lime and ginger flower, creating a more fragrant and flavourful sambal. It can be eaten with cucumbers or ulam(leafy herbs) in a meal of rice and other dishes. The only Sambal Belacan Bunga Kantan (ginger flower) you can find in Singapore. Power!
