豆蔻是姜科植物，产出暖性精油。精油无色或黄色，甜而温暖，主要成分是 松油醇，桉油醇，还有一点姜烯和柠檬烯。

植物精油大都有防止传染病毒、杀菌灭菌、消炎、预防抑制流感、抗忧郁、舒缓紧张情绪、防痉挛、促进细胞新陈代谢及细胞再生功能。
